New Home!!

Hey all,

My new home is Celebrity Soltice. It looks as though I will be cruising mostly in the Caribbean and South America. In may the ship goes across the Atlantic to go to Europe! It's exciting, but emotional. I made a lot of really close friends here. Some of them left this morning and that was really hard. I don't feel ready at all. there's so much more that I have left to learn. I got sent to my ship early...they think I'm really good, but inside I'm terrified. I'm slightly disappointed that I'm not going to Europe, but the Caribbean will be nice as well. I will update soon. I fly into Miami tomorrow!

XOXO

  1. Hello Michelle,

My, it all sounds so breath taking. What a whirlwind. Sounds like you will be taking care of all the north hemisphere people trying to escape winter by heading down to the southern hemisphere.

I suppose being scared is good, but as you meet the folks looking for your services, your training and everything else will automatically kick in and you will be the pro that you are.

Major warning, if you happen to cross the equator, and if it’s your first time, be prepared for some sort of public ceremony commemorating the event. Such ceremonies are usually aimed at a good-natured embarrassment for the first timers. Me? I still need to cross the equator…its one of my goals…not the embarrassment part.

At Fort Stevens we are gearing up for the Civil War reenactment over Labor Day weekend. This is always a huge event for us. I’ll be heading over on Wednesday and will return the following Tuesday.

    Keep safe, God bless,

    David
